I have most importantly improved my relationship with food! As someone that suffers with binge eating food was always classed as the enemy! I would eat my feelings, eat through boredom, eat just because... now after following a calorie deficit on Bryan’s plan I have learnt that I can still eat my favourite foods, still eat my snacks just in proportion. I add them into my calories everyday to eliminate the need to binge. It is working however there have been days where I have thought f**k it and eaten my body weight in chocolate, a takeaway or my favourite crisps but the most important thing was that I didn’t let it defeat me and I took ACCOUNTABILITY! The next day I carried on in my deficit not letting the day before be the be all or end all! Something I have never done, days like that would make me quick and give up instantly!
I gained a social life, found a new love for walking and hiking, got back into my photography which I love! I used to walk max 5000 steps per day now I do 10k-25k+ a day minimum! Walking is easier now I’ve lost weight too! We get out on outdoor adventures as a family where as we used to relax at home mostly. Now we make the effort! I used to be so lazy my days off were literally to sit and recover from work, now I force myself to head out for a walk if not the gym.
I am able to lift heavier weights in the gym, I feel like I have perfected my form too! If you would have told me last year that I would enjoy exercise I would have laughed in your face 🤣
I still have regular breakdowns because all I want to do some days is binge chocolate, crisps and the rest! For no reason not through hunger! Having a Binge eating disorder really is hard! The doctors don’t seem to have an answer either. But one thing I’ve learnt from Bryan is that it’s okay to eat your favourite foods in moderation! So I make sure I add a bag of crisps and a chocolate bar into my calories everyday to help satisfy my cravings!!
Having the app has been a massive help for me! To physically see my progress and track it on a daily is something that has helped me heaps! I may not have weighed in every single day or updated my measurements every week but when I do It’s amazing to see my progress!
Do I think I could have done better? Of course but I have made more progress within these past 100 days than I have in the past 10 years so for that I am very proud!
